Transfer ownership

Follow these steps to transfer the ownership of a website to another Templ user.

Transfer the website

Navigate to Websites in the Templ Panel.
Click on the website you want to transfer ownership of.
Go to Import/migration and click the button labeled Transfer Ownership.

A chat will open with the details of the website to be transferred pre-filled. Send the message to start a conversation with Templ support, where you provide the email address for the new account. Templ will confirm and handle the transfer for you.

The new owner must have upgraded from a free account to a paid account by logging in and completing the first payment before the transfer can be completed.

What is transferred

The website itself - all files, the database, and its backups move with the website to the new owner's account.
Billing - from the transfer onwards, the website's hosting cost is billed to the new owner's account.
Connected domains - any domain names connected to the website are transferred to the new owner along with it.
