Import a zone file
A zone file is a plain text file exported from your current DNS provider that contains all of your domain's DNS records.
Uploading a zone file directly is not yet supported in the Templ Panel.
There are two ways to get the records into Templ: add them manually, or send us the file and we'll import them for you.
This guide assumes that you have added your domain in our panel, and that the domain is using our name servers.
Option A - add the records manually
You can recreate the records from your zone file directly in the Panel:
- Click Domains in the left menu and select your domain.
- Scroll down to DNS Management and click Manage DNS.
- Click the Create button in the top right.
- Choose the record type and enter its values. Add one entry per line if a record has multiple values.
- Click Save, and repeat for each record in your zone file.

Option B - send your zone file to support
If you'd rather not add the records by hand, we're happy to import them for you.
- Export the zone file from your current DNS provider.
- Contact support and attach the zone file.
- We'll import the records and confirm once they're in place.
