Cancel subscription

To cancel, delete all websites and any domain registrations in your account. Once your account has no websites and no domains registered through Templ, you won't be charged again. No email or formal cancellation request is needed.

Delete your websites

For each website in your account:

Open the website in the Templ Panel.
On the website details page, click the Delete button next to Edit Website Details.

Deleting a website removes the site and its data. Remote backups are kept for up to 30 days after a website is deleted; after that, everything is gone (see Backup retention). Download anything you want to keep first - see Download a backup.

Remove domain registrations

Domains registered through Templ are billed separately from hosting, and a registered domain keeps renewing (and billing) until you stop it. You have three ways to stop that billing:

Transfer the domain away to another registrar to keep the domain and continue managing it elsewhere.
Turn off auto-renewal to keep the domain until the current registration period ends, then let it expire.
Delete the domain registration to stop billing right away.

Remaining Templ credit

Remaining account credit is not refunded when you cancel. This includes prepaid balance from annual payment, which is stored as Templ credit. Your credit is saved indefinitely and does not expire, so it's used automatically if you start hosting with Templ again later.
