Supported PHP versions

Templ offers a range of PHP versions, so you can run the one your site's themes and plugins need. New websites default to PHP 8.2.

  • PHP 7.4
  • PHP 8.0
  • PHP 8.1
  • PHP 8.2 (default for new websites)
  • PHP 8.3
  • PHP 8.4

Which version to choose

Our recommendation is to always run the most modern stable version of PHP that your site's themes and plugins support. It is almost always faster, more secure and better maintained, and it gives your site the longest possible life, as opposed to choosing a version that is soon to be discontinued.
